Hey there! So glad you stopped by.
Stephanie here, the crazy bat lady! Join me on this journey and I will teach you about the Law of Attraction and all the secrets of the universe. Lmao! Pretty funny right? Sounds like a bunch of garbage. I have to tell you I thought the same thing the first time I heard about the Law of Attraction and the Law of Vibration, but I am here to tell you that it is legit.
How Did I Find the Law of Attraction?
During a particularly crappy time in my life, I started hearing about this Law of Attraction thing. The more I dug into it, the more I used the techniques, the happier I felt. Little by little, I changed my perspective and my life started to change. My sarcastic tendencies and somewhat twisted sense of humor has remained intact, thankfully.
I know, you are probably saying “What could this crazy bat lady know about my life?” Probably nothing, but maybe something. I was a single parent with an ex that did not offer any type of support, financial or otherwise. My child, now 30 years old, has struggled with addiction all of his adult life and still does. We recently lost my dad and I am now trying to manage my mom, who is clearly battier than I am! I have a crappy job that sucks the life out of me. Enough? Never say enough, you will tempt fate.
Given all that, if there is one thing I have learned over my 50 years on this earth it is that you have to find the humor in life to keep the “bats out of your belfry”. Life is full of surprises (good, bad and ugly) and sometimes the only thing you can control is how you react to them.
So, stick around and I will share my life experiences and how I used the Laws of the Universe to keep my husband from wrapping me in a huggy jacket and putting me in a padded room.
About Me
My husband and I live in a small town in Western Maryland. We each have grown children from the first go round, one of mine and two of his. We also have two super cute but very spoiled fur babies that rule the roost, Rusty (Jack Russel) and Willie (Rat Terrier).
Ralph and I grew up in a small town called Poolesville, Maryland. No stop lights, no McDonald’s, no CVS. Just a small town grocery store, a beer store, and a few locally owned restaurants and stores. Poolesville sprung up in the middle of farm land so rival schools used to call us “The Children of the Corn”. We know how that movie turned out, right?
In high school, Ralph’s best friend was dating my best friend, so that put us together a lot. He wanted to date me but I was not having it because I was not going to be a convenient girlfriend. Ralph tells everyone that I used to stare at him out my bedroom window. The truth is I was staring at Skip. So dreamy… reminded me of Shawn Cassidy (sigh). “I met her on a Monday and my heart stood still, da do run, run, run, da do run, run” …… Sing with me! Yeah, I am old.
Fast forward 15 years and I ran into Ralph one night when I was out with friends and the rest, as they say, is history. It’s funny how life has a way of bringing you back to where you were supposed to be, isn’t it? Don’t tell Ralph I said that. He is already full of himself.
Why blog?
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a writer. As a kid, I used to dream up story lines and book titles. Many mornings my parents would come to wake me up and find that I had fallen asleep with my nose in a book. Does that make me a nerd? Maybe so.
As Whoppi Goldberg said to Lauryn Hill in Sister Act 2, “If when you wake up in the morning all you can think about is singing, then you’re a singer”…… Well then, I guess I am a writer.
So, I decided to share what I have learned. Over the years, I have become a counselor of sorts to my friends and family. By teaching them to use the Laws of the Universe, like the Law of Attraction and the Law of Vibration, I help them rid themselves of the negativity and to attract the life they want. I know it sounds corny, but what do you have to lose?
Thanks for checking out Batz in her Belfry. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing. I love to hear your feedback so please join in the discussions and share with your friends. Don’t forget to sign up for my e-mail list so you don’t miss any of the fun.
